Location Data
Prominent disclosure: Hub Drives collects location data to show nearby available vehicles, set your pick-up and drop-off points, estimate distance and fare, and dispatch chauffeur and roadside-assistance services to you. Location is collected only while the app is open and in use (foreground). Hub Drives does not access, collect, or share your location in the background or when the app is closed, and does not use the ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION permission. Location data is only collected after you grant permission, and you can revoke it at any time in your device settings.
Hub Drives accesses and collects approximate and precise location data from your device to deliver core features of the app. Specifically, we use location data to:
- Show nearby available vehicles, pick-up and drop-off points, and rental hubs on the map.
- Pre-fill your pick-up location and provide accurate distance, route, and fare estimates.
- Help our chauffeur and roadside-assistance services locate you when you request them.
- Verify trip start and end points, detect unauthorized vehicle use, and support recovery in case of theft.
- Improve safety, fraud prevention, analytics, and the overall quality of the service.
Location data is only accessed after you grant permission through your device's operating system, and you can revoke this permission at any time from your device settings. On Android and iOS, location is collected only while the app is in use; we do not collect background location. If you deny location access, you can still use the app, but features that depend on your location (such as nearby vehicles and automatic pick-up selection) may be limited.
Location data is transmitted securely to our servers, is associated with your account only as long as needed to provide the service, and is not sold to third parties. We may share location data with service providers (such as map and routing providers and our chauffeur partners) strictly to operate the features above, and with law enforcement where required by law.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our car rental services; process bookings and payments; verify your identity and driver eligibility; communicate with you about your account, bookings, and support requests; ensure the safety and security of our users and vehicles; and comply with legal obligations.
